These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of CoreRift Gate (the "Service"), a service of Core Rift LLC, a Virginia limited liability company doing business as Core Rift Gate ("CoreRift," "we," "us," or "our"). By signing in to the Service or connecting a website to it, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Acceptable Use Policy, our Billing and Refund Policy and our Data Processing Addendum. If you use the Service for a company or other organization, you confirm that you can bind it to these Terms, and "you" includes that organization. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms apply to everyone who signs in to the Service, including site owners and the people a site is shared with. They do not apply to visitors of a website that uses the Service; that website's own terms and privacy policy apply to them.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. You may not use the Service if you are barred from doing so by United States law, including if you appear on a U.S. government sanctions list.
3. Accounts and Access
- You sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for that account's security and for all activity under your CoreRift Gate account.
- A site's owners decide who else can manage it and with which role. Owners are responsible for everyone they share a site with and for removing access that is no longer needed.
- You can create personal tokens that let an AI assistant such as Claude, or a script, act for you through the Service's connector. Anything done with your token is done by you; keep tokens secret and revoke any you no longer use.
- Each site has a secret API key, shown once, and a public site key for the browser script. Anyone holding the secret API key can act for that site. Keep it secret and rotate it if you think it has leaked. You are responsible for activity under your keys.
4. The Service
The Service gives websites shared services managed from one dashboard, including beta-access and test-account codes, interest lists, visitor feedback, contact messages, announcements and changelogs, hosted legal documents with acceptance records, a cookie consent banner, feature flags, transactional email, uptime monitoring and public status pages. Each connected site keeps its own accounts and sign-in, calls the Service from its own server with its API key, and may embed the Service's browser script. Features may be marked as available only on certain plans.
5. Your Sites and Site Data
- "Site Data" means the information your sites send to the Service or that the Service collects for your sites, such as interest-list entries, feedback, contact messages, consent records, legal acceptance records, email recipients and the email addresses beta codes are tied to. You own your Site Data. We process it only to provide the Service to you, as described in the Privacy Policy and the Data Processing Addendum.
- You are responsible for having the right to collect Site Data and send it to us, for telling your visitors how you use it (including that you use a service like this one), for any consent the law requires, and for honoring your visitors' requests about their information.
- Do not send us sensitive information such as health records, financial-account numbers, government identification numbers or information about children.
- You decide who receives a beta code and what your site lets them do. A test-account code signs in to your site as a made-up account; what that account can reach is up to your site.
- Legal documents you publish through the Service are your own. You are responsible for their content and for having them reviewed by your own counsel.
- Email sent through the Service must comply with the law, including the CAN-SPAM Act, and go only to people who asked for it or have a transactional relationship with your site.
6. Fees and Payment
The Service has a free plan and paid plans described on the pricing page and in the Billing and Refund Policy. Paid plans may not be open to the public yet. We will not charge you for anything without your agreement at checkout.
7. Acceptable Use
You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. We may suspend sites or accounts that break it or that put the Service or other people at risk.
8. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on third-party providers listed on our Service Providers page, and you may connect your own services to it. Third-party services are governed by their own terms, and they may change or stop working.
9. Availability and Changes
We work to keep the Service available but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Build your sites to fail closed: if the Service cannot be reached, refuse beta sign-ins rather than letting people in. We may add, change or remove features. If we stop offering the Service, we will give at least 30 days' notice so you can export your Site Data.
10. Intellectual Property
The Service, its software, design and documentation belong to Core Rift LLC or its licensors. These Terms give you the right to use the Service as described and nothing more. You may not copy, resell or sublicense the Service or use it to build a competing service.
11. Feedback
If you send us suggestions or ideas, we may use them without any obligation to you.
12. Termination
You can stop using the Service at any time. Deleting a site deletes its codes, interest list, feedback, messages, documents and other Site Data. We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these Terms, does not pay, or puts the Service, its users or others at risk; where reasonable we will tell you first and give you a chance to export your Site Data. Sections that by their nature should survive (including 5, 10 and 13 to 18) survive.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the extent the law allows, Core Rift LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim and US $100.
15. Indemnification
You will defend and indemnify Core Rift LLC against third-party claims arising from your sites, your Site Data, the documents and email you publish or send through the Service, or your breach of these Terms, including claims by your sites' visitors and users.
16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any dispute informally. Any dispute that is not resolved will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Virginia, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms. Each version is posted here with its effective date, and earlier versions remain available. For material changes we will tell site owners at least 30 days before they take effect and may ask you to accept them again. Using the Service after a change takes effect means you accept it.
18. General Provisions
These Terms, with the policies they link to, are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer these Terms without our written consent; we may transfer them as part of a sale or reorganization of our business. We are not liable for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control.
